How could I say no? Have you seen the St. Louis 16-Patch quilts running a muck on Instagram? Could they be any prettier?
I caved. Big Time. Fabric:
My first four blocks:
They go quickly. They look beautiful...particularly with these gorgeous big prints. Such a great way to showcase them.
I have made progress on some other projects. My Modern Crosses keep growing. I'm thinking one more row on the bottom, and then I'm calling it good.
And I finished Row 3 of Lori Holt's Bee in My Bonnet Row Along.

Bee in My Bonnet Row Along
I jumped on another band wagon - Lori Holt's Bee in My Bonnet Row Along. Have you seen how cute the finished quilt is!? (click here to see) Just darling!
So far, I have finished rows 1 and 2 and cut out row 3....well sort of anyways....
The finished rows are supposed to be 50.5" wide. Neither of my rows turned out to be 50.5, and neither of my first two rows turned out the same. Oh well, pretty sure I will be able to make it work in the end.
Here are some pics along the way...
LOVE these colors!
Hopefully row 3 will turn out perfectly at 50.5" wide!

Modern Crosses
I was having a bad day, well really, a bad week. What's a girl to do but go on a little fabric splurge!? I went to one of my favorite LQS, and ended up heading home with this little bundle of joy.
I didn't really have anything in mind when I was picking these fabrics, other than I wanted to try to play with the concept of low volume/low definition prints with some rich/bold prints. When I got home, I was going through some books and magazines and saw this little gem:
Love. LOVE. L-O-V-E!
And here are the 14 together I have completed so far.
Not sure how big I'm going to make this. The pattern in the book is for an 80x80 quilt, which is pretty big. I'm not sure I want to go that big. I'm going to make at least 42 blocks, so a 54x63 size throw (9" finished block size), and then see if I want to go any bigger.
Happy Quilting!

Scrappy Trip Along
I jumped on the bandwagon a month or so ago and started a scrappy trip along...and it probably only took me a couple weeks to finish her up.
I always seem to finish projects at about 11pm and I get all excited to take a picture and then they turn out all crappy looking like this, but it's all I've got for now:

I went through a few color scheme ideas for this one, and most people have chosen to go the brighter, more colorful route, but I went with a more subdued, blues and gray and greens route. I love the way this quilt turned out.
I had some help along the way...she made sewing the rows together a touch more entertaining =)
That dog has not met an unfinished quilt top she hasn't liked.
Now I just need to decide how to quilt and what backing to use!
